Experienced Automotive Technician Responsibilities:

The ability to communicate and organize work flow with service management, technical team and able to work with minimal supervision.
Problem solving and excellent mechanical aptitude.
Broad knowledge of complex components and how they work and interact.
The ability to conduct inspections, diagnostic tests, to identify worn and damaged parts, to test drive and to adjust controls and systems
Experienced Automotive Technician Qualifications:

Ford Lincoln dealer experience a plus!
Ford Lincoln Certified a plus!
Productive, efficient and professional
Valid Driver's License a must
PA State & Emission License a plus!
Experience in other Dealership a plus!

Necessary Skills:
Highly motivated, with the knowledge, experience and ability to evaluate a customer's needs, identify and recommend the best solution, and perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
•The ability to communicate and organize work flow with Fleet Service Management, Technical Team and able to work with minimal supervision.
•Problem solving and a good mechanical aptitude. Broad knowledge of complex components and how they work and interact.
•The ability to conduct inspections, diagnostic tests, to identify worn and damaged parts, to test drive and to adjust controls and systems
•Must be able to complete preventive maintenance, install component and part upgrades.
•The ability to complete necessary paperwork.

Job Description:

•Automotive Diesel Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on Diesel Vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standards
•Diesel automotive technicians diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
•Diesel Mechanics provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
•Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
•Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
•Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Understand and achieve performance objectives for individual and team repair production.
